The biology program at UWO allows students to gain a broad range of knowledge while giving students the opportunity to take courses of specific interest to them. 6 second-year level courses are mandatory to the program, allowing students to have many flexible slots on their timetables. This is great because students have a less rigid schedule where they can focus on more courses they are specifically interested in. Additionally, the professors are really great. They are supportive and very entertaining. They have good class presentations and make the class content relevant to recent scientific discoveries. I really enjoy the biology program at UWO, and believe it is great for students who want a good foundation in the biological sciences.
