My time at Wilfrid Laurier University was nothing short of life-changing. I came in unsure of myself and left with clarity, confidence, and a strong sense of direction. The professors were approachable and truly cared about our learning, especially in my Global Studies and Communication classes, where real-world issues were explored with depth and passion.
I got involved in student leadership and volunteered on campus, which helped me discover strengths I never knew I had. One of my biggest milestones was winning a student leadership award, it meant so much to be recognized in such a supportive environment.
The sense of community at Laurier is what really makes it stand out. It’s not just about getting a degree; it’s about growing into the best version of yourself. I made lifelong friends, gained hands-on experience, and felt supported every step of the way.
Future students, if you want a school that challenges you, supports you, and helps you thrive, Wilfrid Laurier is where you’ll find it.
View moreI studied Global Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University, and overall, it was a rewarding experience. The program offers a diverse range of topics—from international development to political theory—and encourages critical thinking and global awareness. I particularly appreciated the approachable professors and the strong sense of community within the department.
The university provides plenty of opportunities to get involved, both academically and socially. I was able to lead student associations, engage in research, and access support services when needed. However, I think the school could improve by offering more hands-on learning or co-op options in arts and social science programs.
If you’re looking for a medium-sized university with a strong sense of community, solid academics, and opportunities to grow through extracurriculars, Laurier is a great choice.
