RachelSociology is necessary for our futureStudying sociology was a very eye-opening experience for the many vulnerable groups within society. Instead of being overwhelmed with the many social injustices happening all around the world and within our own community, it provides root causes and how to dismantle systems of oppression. It also helped me better understand how intersectionality can shape life experiences. I especially liked that many of our professors took the time to include indigenous history and how we can be better allies.
