The university is home to many world-renowned academics and offers a strong reputation across a wide range of disciplines. Undergraduate class sizes vary significantly by program, from large lectures with hundreds of students to more intimate settings with just a few dozen. The St. George campus is expansive and integrated into downtown Toronto, which gives it a vibrant urban feel but can make it harder to foster a centralized student community. Additionally, as a predominantly commuter school, many students travel from home, which can limit the development of a cohesive campus life and social culture.
