Being one of Canada’s top universities, UBC is home to a very large and diverse student population, which is adding deep layers to my undergraduate studies. The campus itself is an amazing environment to have classes in. The main reason why I chose to study at UBC is because of its flexible opportunities. Coming into university, I was still unsure about what exactly I wanted to study. Thus, the university’s programs that allow us to choose courses across all faculties ensure that I can properly discover myself and pursue my interests accordingly. The only downside would be, due to the huge population, sometimes it gets hard to feel a sense of belonging, but again, there are many clubs and societies to aid in avoiding this feeling.
