I enjoyed my program in Human Ecology with a major in Clothing and Textiles at the University of Alberta. The program is smaller in size, so classes were small and the instructors were always willing to help. The labs complemented the course material and offered interactive learning. The program also offered an internship which was to be completed at the end of year 4 of the program. The internship provided hands-on experience and in my case, as with many, offered a job position following the internship. The program coordinator assisted in placing students with a company for their internships and always found the best fit for the student’s interests.
The University of Alberta is a recognized international school, with many programs, from the arts to the sciences. It is a large campus and has many extracurricular activities for all interests. I would highly recommend the University of Alberta to anyone looking to attend post-secondary education.
