The University of Alberta fosters a community within each program and club, to find people who can widen your perspective of the world. It is not just to get degree but to form connections. The same in the your program can share information about lectures, professors and ongoing campus life. That is the part of the University of Alberta can be proficient in. However, when it comes to funding there is a great disparity between the sciences and arts/humanities. While sciences can enjoy a clean lecture room, the arts and humanities section can get ceiling leaking mysterious liquids and shutting down the whole hallway. In addition, there is still a missing amount of money that the university releases and never acknowledges or tells reasons why there is a missing amount. Plus, not acknowledging or telling reasons why changing the registrations dates by 2 months, and then telling students this is now how it is supposed to be. Putting registration dates in May with no reasoning to why is a bit frustrating as it is in the middle-end of spring semester. This is not the faults of the people who are actively in classes such as students and especially the professors. The professors could be a hit or miss but some of them are competent and helpful to their students, and that is something that we are appreciative of. So while the university can be a bit disruptive and unreasonable without explanation the experience of what we have in this institutions is what we make it to be.
