UQAM is a university for students that combines studies and student life. Indeed, beyond the quality of the academic programs, student life is great. UQAM allows students to have a space to express themselves (need for visibility for a cause, space to realize their passions, space to express their disagreements). As you can see, it is difficult to summarize UQAM in a few lines…

UQAM is an excellent French university for students looking creative programs.
The Environmental Design program is inspired by the famous BAUHAUS school and teaches students how to develop a creative thinking by giving advices on ideation and technical knowledges.

As soon as you enter the faculty of management At UQAM you can sense the fun and welcoming atmosphere. There is always something going on from people handing out free coffee to fashion students doing a mini thrift shop style store in the middle of the faculty. The experience is amazing and its always a fun time going to school and hanging out there.

I had a great time during my studies. Things were very simple and convenient. The school’s various campuses had all the necessities that you need on daily basis. Restaurants, easy transport access, library and all the stuff a student need to be comfortable.

Great university with a very wide choice of orientation. The city makes it even better.
You shall find your happiness even if it’s quite difficult to make friends with the local population and students. It builds up your character and gives you a life lesson with is what I was hoping to find.

The Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) is a public university whose mission is to provide accessible higher education. Created by the Government of Québec in the late 1960’s, UQAM is at its core a socially-minded university. It offers a wide variety of programs in an urban setting, thus being a part of the very fabric of Montreal’s dynamic neighbourhoods, including the Latin Quarter and The Quartier des Spectacles (Show District).

I both studied and worked at UQAM, as a Master’s student in International Relations and as a teaching assistant in the English Department in the Faculty of Languages. A large body of international students attends UQAM, making for diverse classrooms. Many foreign students choose UQAM for its central location and accessible programs.
