I have a love-hate relationship with uoft but essentially, it’s a difficult university and known as one of the best for a reason. They have a wide selection of majors you can mix and match with but as someone who’s program is in humanities, the list of reading materials to go through in only a week is an insane amount. The St. George Campus alone is amazing to walk around in. They have really good facilities and nice study areas as well as mental health support too.
My major, East Asian Studies, gives quite a lot of homework and the language courses are fast-paced but I can confidently say that I learn a lot from these courses. Pumping out one essay after another and receiving critical feedback helped me improve my writing skills and they provide sources for most of the readings we do in class.
It’s really tough and you need to find the right people to hang out with who can influence you to study well too.
