The University of Toronto is widely known for its strong focus on academic excellence, which it certainly lives up to. However, what often goes unnoticed is the vast array of opportunities this institution provides. Beyond the rigorous academics, the university offers numerous avenues for students to explore and engage in various activities.
View moreIts a very boring campus. If you like working on your own and developing your academic skills then I would recommend. Otherwise, I do not think this university is a good option. Isolated, nothing to do around there.
View moreAs a student in the Applied Mathematics program at the University of Toronto, I have been thoroughly impressed by the quality of education and resources available to me. The professors are all highly knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects, and they consistently go above and beyond to ensure that their students are well-prepared for success in both academia and industry.
One of the things that I particularly appreciate about the program is the strong focus on real-world applications of mathematical concepts. Whether through coursework or through research opportunities, I have had the chance to see how the theories and techniques I am learning can be applied in a variety of fields, from finance and economics to biology and engineering. This has been incredibly motivating for me as I pursue my studies, as it gives me a clear sense of the value and relevance of what I am learning.
In terms of resources, the University of Toronto has an impressive array of support services and facilities available to students in the Applied Mathematics program. From math help centers and tutoring services to state-of-the-art computer labs and research facilities, there is no shortage of opportunities to get the support and resources I need to succeed.
I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Applied Mathematics program at the University of Toronto, and I would highly recommend it to anyone with a passion for math and a desire to make a meaningful impact in the world.
View moreI like that my university provides a vast amount of specialized courses. This allows you to cater your program to better fit your areas of interest. What I dislike about my school is the disconnect and lack of care that professors have for their students and their success.
View moreAs a UofT student for two years now, my experience has been interesting. With the impact of the global pandemic on how we learn, it has been an adjustment. Overall, I have faced challenges here for sure, but it is what you make of it. I really do believe (at least most of the time) that if you put in the effort you can get promising results.
View moreGreat teaching quality, especially in first-year courses. Beautiful campus with nice facilities conveniently located in downtown Toronto. Also, the campus is quite large, taking 15 mins to walk across.
View moreOverall a good university. Their mathematics and statistics program was fair, but their business program is way more competitive. The professors do expect a lot from the students but it helps grow good habits.
