I really loved the support of my former professors, I’ve learned a lot regarding to working with children with Autism, seniors and adults. I learned about myself as a person in the program, my personality and learning style. My favourite part was learning about mental health through individuals that were currently dealing with alcohol addiction, depression and anxiety. I really appreciated them coming to my class and sharing their experience. The campus is very safe, the library is nice and the food is amazing. The only downfall is getting more support regarding to getting employment after graduation.
View moreSeneca College is a great college for domestic and international students. Professors are very credible and very flexible with students’ needs, especially in my program which is Social Service Work Program. What I liked about my college is that they accommodate students’ needs and they support individuals throughout the course, whether it is counselling or course advice. Professors are professional and kind. I would recommend going to Seneca College because diversity is welcomed and the openness for students allows self-determination and creativity.
View moreMy program SSW-G is great as it offers 2 opportunities where you can be a social service worker or a recreational therapist for seniors.
The professors were awesome as they guide us from day 1 until our last day in school for our studies. It was a challenge, especially during the pandemic. However, our professors did not give up and continued to offer us quality education that can help us grow professionally.
View moreThe program was pretty good. It was straightforward and had lots of quizzes. Academically challenging but if you put in the effort then you can do anything truthfully. The campus itself is located beside York. There’s a lot of traffic around bus stop areas so if you’re taking public transit then get ready for waiting in line forever. The food selection is mediocre, you can go to the York campus and get Starbucks and stuff but the Seneca campus has Tim Hortons and a couple of other stuff. The schedule is tight, you don’t have that many options for classes. Overall they mark pretty averagely, some classes are harder. It was a good program
View moreThe program wasn’t bad, it was a little tough honestly. The professors were a little harsh, some were nice but there were too high of expectations for a program that was in college. The campus is accessible, it is near York so I guess that wasn’t too bad at all. It was also always busy, the buses and everything. Overall my experience was good, could have been better if they allowed more accommodation.
View moreI am currently a 2nd year student in the Social Service Worker Gerontology Degree program at Seneca College. Throughout my two years, I’ve developed a love for this program. This program is entirely about the study of ageing and how to create and develop programs for seniors. The SSWG program gave me a variety of placement opportunities, fieldwork and engaging classes. This program gave me the right educational and practical confidence to be able to assist elders and provide them with a better quality of life.
