This university is located in downtown, which has many stores and locations nearby to go to. The program is solid for engineering, and there are many clubs and activities to do to gain experience. There are career boost jobs to make money on the side and get involved. There are also drop in basketball and other sports to get fit and have fun with friends.

The culture of collaboration and teamwork at Toronto MetroRobotics is truly special. Working together with other students who share a passion for robotics has created a tight-knit community where everyone feels supported and inspired. Collaboration has not only improved my teamwork and communication skills, but also led to amazing achievements. The bonds formed within the club have created friendships that extend beyond the world of robotics.

Our competitive club has always been in the top 3 university clubs in Canada that competes in the University Rover Challenge (URC).

There are also a lot more top design clubs that opens to everyone.

Working at Ryerson University’s First Year Engineering Office and as a project manager for CEN100 has been an incredible experience. The supportive staff helped me navigate my first year, while leading a team in CEN100 honed my leadership and teamwork skills. These on-campus jobs provided flexibility, valuable skills, and connections within the Ryerson community. Balancing work and studies became easier, and the relationships I built extended beyond the workplace. Ryerson’s on-campus jobs have truly contributed to my personal and professional growth. There are also a variety of positions that are offered on campus to support students with financial needs.

TMU University’s mechanical program with a specialization in mechatronics is a very challenging major. All of the courses strikes heavily on theorical knowledges of the field. Some of the courses are pretty fun to when they focus more on project based. Although there are few professors that doesn’t care about teaching but more focusing on their researches, there are a lot of professors that cares about student’s understanding of materials.

Not the most prestigious school but very convenient being in the core of downtown and it still has alot of great profs. The engineering program is pretty good, and there are still alot of opportunities if you put the work in.

Overall my experience here has been enjoyable. There are lots of activities, student clubs and societies offered to students. I found the professors, co-op program and networking events to be very useful too.

TMU is known for its hands on learning approach specially in engineering. Their faculty and resources are good , they have company connections, and they have many other activities and free workshops available to boost student resumes . It’s not a perfect university but then again no uni is perfect. Would definitely recommend it for engineering, journalism, CS, and creative industries students

There are a lot of free resources that students have access to, to improve their school experience. Something that I dislike is the lack of security and the amount of homeless people walking around the campus, making most of the students feeling uncomfortable

As a student currently studying at TMU, formally known as Ryerson University, I enjoy the environment of the classrooms. It helps motivate me to study harder with my friends, and also buts me in an environment where I feel comfortable. I would suggest improvements to the consistency of the building designs. Personally, I prefer a more old style rather than modern one.
