I rated the university 4 out of 5 because it has everything that makes a school wonderful. The students and teachers are warm and welcoming. Likewise the city. The facilities are top notch. The learning and living experience as well. It is an all round great place to study and live. I rate it short of excellence because nothing is perfect and it is located in a city that is cold 10 months in a year, 6 of those months in frozen condition. Still, it is livable, you just need to keep warm.

I consider it above average. There is a lot of room for improvement so I give it 4 stars instead of 5. It is a great learning environment, very hospitable too. If you are international student, you feel at home due to many international students there. Learning facilities and resources are above average. Teaching and research are above average. It is an above average school in general. One great downside the harsh winter of the city. It does get extremely cold, down to -45 sometimes.

The programmes using the different routes are great but it could be better if the option of having some co-op terms during the studies (or getting to the end of studies) can incorporated into the thesis students curriculum, maybe after all experimental work and research but before defense to give thesis students the opportunity to gain some industrial experience during their studies
