Like: good famous, good resources, good education amazing coop
dislike: focussed mostly on maths and engineering students rather than everyone and all the other programmes. understandable as they are famous for these faculties but more faculties with more focus would be better
UW provides great academic support and inclusivity within its faculty of science. Academic advisors are available for every program you can think of, and they guide you to your path of success. As well, UW ensures all students feel included with their various clubs and societies which has something for everyone.
View moreI would highly recommend coming to Waterloo’s health science program! From the world-renowned professors to the tight-knit community.
Something I love to emphasize is our community because ASHUM which starts for the Association of Health Students Undergraduate Members is amazing at keeping a welcoming and fun environment. As a first year, I truly felt like the university was my HOME. I knew everyone straight from the start because our program was so small.
Furthermore, Waterloo offers co-op for health science students, giving them the front hand in getting research opportunities for applying to medical school, dental school, etc. and exploring career options.
View moreMy experience at the University of Waterloo has been positive for the most part. I’ve enjoyed most of the lab experiences as they provide a unique experience. However, the course sequence could use some work as it does not completely allow the students to succeed in later years of the program.
View moreWaterloo community is a well built family, and the support systems from peers to professors to staff have made my university experience very good. Exploring my program, I realize it has everything I want, covering science and marketing, helping me pursue my passions in the future.
View moreI have only been a student at University of Waterloo for a year now; something significant I have noticed is the amount of energy professors put into their classes as well as their students themselves. Creating that connection between professor and student is not only crucial to mental health but also makes it easier to get up each day and head to class
