Studying Computer Science at the University of Waterloo is definitely not easy, but it’s one of the most rewarding experiences you can have really. The coursework can get intense, and sometimes it feels like you’re constantly juggling projects, deadlines, and coding challenges. But that pressure really sharpens your skills. The co-op program is a huge advantage too, it gives you real industry experience before you even graduate. They’ve got great professors too, though some classes can feel theory-heavy. Still, if you’re passionate about tech and ready to work hard, Waterloo gives you everything you need to stand out in the field.

View moreAs an international student, UWaterloo has been extremely welcoming, and have had not troubles in making friends. The professors are pretty kind, and some go above and beyond. The campus is beautiful but is pretty cold right now.
View moreUniversity of Waterloo has to be one of the biggest universities not just in Canada, but even in the world. I have been on-campus for 1 year now, but I am still discovering new study spaces, new ways to commute, and it is truly amazing. The buildings are well built, and there are huge lecture halls. Coming from India, I was stunned to see that every single classroom has a podium, from where the instructor can control the lighting, audio and the projector in the room. Secondly, the architecture style is so different throughout the campus. The Maths building is old-school style concrete structure. But, the Quantum Nano Centre has a modern architecture. The Engineering buildings have another different theme. So, all in all, I feel really nice to be at campus because there are so many things to explore. Obviously, the academics do matter, but I think University of Waterloo edges other universities because of the classy architecture.
