The University of Ottawa is a great institution and I have been enjoying my time studying. I lived on campus for two years and had some issues but overall had a great experience. I studied a Bachelor of Commerce Specializing in Accounting. The course requirements were easy to find online and the website also provided a clear way to visualize it by year. Almost all of my classes were in the same building which made them easy to find and helped me save time by not having to walk around so much. There are multiple sections for each course which offers different professors, days of the week, time of day and locations to give students the options that work best for their schedule. My course requirements made me take many courses that I originally thought were going to be useless but they ended up being very helpful and informative. They helped me realize that there is so much to my program and there is so much more to it than I could’ve realized. The issue I have with my program is that there was no room for electives. With my course requirements, I only have one elective in my four years. I wish there could’ve been more room for electives so I could explore and do some courses that I could choose and to expand and explore.

I love UOttawa. It’s awesome. If I were to recommend a university to anyone, it would be this one. Everyone is so kind and helpful and the campus is beautiful in every season. Profs are super helpful too.

Honestly the program gives you great career opportunities through their co-op program. The courses are sometimes outdated, but mostly relevant to my field of study. However, the first two years can be rough taking the mandatory courses ie an HR student has to take stats 1
