Trent University is a small but diverse public university in Peterborough. The size allows for a close knit community that integrates students of all cultural backgrounds. Classes are also relatively small which promotes intellectual, thought-provoking conversations which is especially good for my programme. Events and resources like workshops and community lunches are continuously provided by faculty to enhance the university and post-graduate experience and connect students. Surrounded by nature trails and a lake passing directly through the university, Trent also relives students from industrialized and congested environments.
View moreI think one of my favourite things about this university is the various social events and the infrastructure of the campus. I really enjoy walking across for my classes and since we have a river flowing nearby, our campus has two sides to it connected by a bridge. I also really enjoy the contents of my course and the various topics covered in my major. Something I do not like is the lack of space they have for a thesis opportunity. Since psychology is a huge class and a lot of students want to apply for grad school, having ample spaces for interested students to apply for thesis programs should be considered.
