western university has an amazing campus and a great amount of diversity. i love the diversity of the people, academics and extra curricular options there are. i dislike how hard it can get. i’m in science it often is really hard and professors don’t care.

I am currently a First Year student in the Health Science program at Western University. I enjoy the program very much, I think it gives you more freedom than other Science programs. I enjoy Western University very much as well. This is a very social and interactive university, there is always something going on. Through different clubs or house parties. Even though it has the title of being a party school, they take academics quite seriously. I feel the university has quite a good balance between social life and academics if you manage it well.

This program discusses lots of relevant and current topics and issues regarding healthcare. In upper years the module that is chosen can be more science-based in upper years or more social science based.

My university offers a suitable growth environment, you meet people from different backgrounds with the same interests and ambitions. It’s a welcoming community. My favourite part about Western is the beautiful campus!

In my first year at Western University in the Health Sciences Programs, I have encountered no other experience. I plan to graduate with a dual degree in Health Science and HBA entering the Ivey Business School in my third year. No other Ontario school offers a program like such. The programs at Western allow you to cater your degree specifically to your interests. They offer continuous support that is faculty specific and as well school wide support.

My time here at Western has been fantastic so far. The campus is well kept, and the personnel is helpful and friendly. Since my first days at Western, I’ve seen that the administration makes an effort to ensure that all students are happy and settled in. For instance, during my orientation week, I was placed in a few different groups that allowed me to meet and get to know my fellow students. A large university like this, with thousands of freshmen enrolling from all over the world, faces a particularly challenging task in accomplishing this. My high school, which has fewer than a thousand pupils, did not even try to do this. Many people have said awful things to me about the Western and their “party culture,” but to be fair, if you aren’t a part of that society, you won’t know much about it. Throughout the majority of the semester, everyone here studies hard.

I really liked the Health Sciences program at Western University. The professors are all very nice, and they are committed to furthering the learning of students. The classes themselves are organized in an efficient manner, with a wide range of flexibility for students to also take other classes that they are interested in outside of their field of study.
The school itself does not care as much about its students as they say they do, so that is definitely an area for improvement. The student life overall is very good, and there are always people to hang out with outside of being in class. I would 100% recommend this school to others.
The school has a good mix of both residents of Canada as well as international students, and it is very welcoming with regard to diversity.
I feel confident in my career aspects, however, I do think that I need to get a Master’s degree in order to find a high-paying job.

UWO guaranteed the best student experience in Canada and they hold that title because the university believes in the foundation of growth through experience. If your looking for a fun educational journey, Western is a good choice in Canada. Along with their Ivy league business school – it’s all about experiential learning!
