I absolutely loved my program at Humber College. Overall it was a great experience, however – it was not perfect, but that’s ok! Here is my overall rating of my time at Humber taking business management:
Program: 8/10
Very useful program. I find myself carrying the knowledge I learned during my Time at Humber in my day-to-day life. It was a very memorable experience, and even the textbooks I purchased during my time there have come in handy after graduating.
Classes: 6/10
Although I loved the structure of the classes, I found that there were a few classes that felt necessary considering what I wanted to do in the future. For example, accounting and anthropology were 2 courses that I felt were not completely necessary. They were also very difficult classes that I had to spend a lot of time on outside of school hours. I would have preferred using that time to learn about topics that would help me in my future endeavours.
Teachers: 7/10
I had wonderful teachers, but I did find that many of my classes would be cancelled often. Seeing as my commute was 2 hours, I found myself heading to school – only to learn that my class had been cancelled. That is my only complaint.
Overall, I loved my experience at Humber. It was a great school to meet other people, and learn to work within a team environment, and the course times were extremely flexible. Commuting to the school was very easy (although a lengthy trip – it was simple.) There were many food options on campus, and many resources to help students such as free tutoring, study sessions, essay editing and more.
After graduating, I was able to work for companies such as Auto Trader, IQ Business Events, Toyota and more! It was a great experience, and I definitely recommend it.
