Humber College (reviews)

Humber is a great place for international students, both academically and professionally as they offer a lot of resources to enhance our learning and also build valuable connections that would prove beneficial for the professional community. It’s not all work and no play. The various events conducted by the student club, IGNITE, give an opportunity to interact with different individuals thereby offering a chance to learn about people and their culture. Their spacious and quiet campus offers an excellent area to study/work.

The worst experience in humber college (north). They are money minded. They never care about students time, energy or money. The higher authority takes the proffesors side always. My foot was badly injured I had showed them the doctors prescription, x – rays . Still they had not let me gave my exams . Their proffessors don’t understand students’ situations. They will never listen your side of the story . They had failed me and I am facing stress . I have no option or anyone to tell my story or to take help from.

Humber College has resources to help students succeed in any way. There are many experienced professors as well which helps students have more of an idea of the program/career they are pursuing. I had met many wonderful students in my classes/courses and I feel comfortable to have a voice in an idea for any group assignment I must complete. I had passed my first year and overall going to enter into my second year.

I am studying at Global Business Management at Humber College. The best thing is the location of the Lakeshore campus. I have taken summer classes so summer times do not preferable by many students. It is hard to enroll in activities. But mostly I really like being part of Humber. It is pretty informative.

Humber College is a diverse school with many opportunities to interact with not only your classmates but people with the same interests as you, and other Humber attendees as well. Some events and clubs include Frosh, IGNITE Student Union, and many more.

It’s a good college, but it doesn’t give the right support to international students. The international students department is horrible, it takes a long time to be received in person and they just answer your email 15 days after.

I had been accepted into the Forensic Identification Certificate earlier this year but was not properly informed about by Humber about the tuition payment dates. I never received an email, an update on MyHumber, or any type of notification involving the date. I only found out I had missed a date when I reached out to them about a different payment day.

I spoke to a few people, and those few people who I spoke to said they could do nothing about the situation, so they told me to contact the head of my program. The head of the program did not respond to a single one of my emails or voicemails regarding this. I even tried emailing the president of Humber, but she did not respond either. Many of the people I sent emails to did not bother to respond and help me at all.

My experience with Humber has been disappointing to say the least.

The academic environment at the school is great, the students union is fully functioning and very diverse, the students are allowed to air out their views on what they like and do not like, also teachers are diligent to their job, they come to classes on time, and they teach all the students to full understanding
