Truly, Humber College will always be an educational institute that I will recommend to family and friends. The reason for this is because they put students first, and hire professors who are professionals in the field they are teaching. I graduated from the Child and Youth Care program in 2018, and really appreciated the fact that my professors were Youth Workers themselves. This allowed me to gain field knowledge, and experienced education. Furthermore, the campus is clean, safe and full of fun activities year round. All in all, Humber College was a great experience for me from 2015-2018.
View moreHumber College has resources to help students succeed in any way. There are many experienced professors as well which helps students have more of an idea of the program/career they are pursuing. I had met many wonderful students in my classes/courses and I feel comfortable to have a voice in an idea for any group assignment I must complete. I had passed my first year and overall going to enter into my second year.
View moreWhat i like about this college is there are a lot of places to discover. What i like and dislike about this college is how the classes are hard to find. My program (early children education) is really fun, learning about the children’s development during their play.
View moreDuring my years at Humber, it was a fun experience that I will never forget. There were opportunities to grow, learn, and meet new people and the environment was a breath of fresh air coming out of high school. Humber has a lot of resources and there were always people who were willing to help in every aspect which is amazing especially when things got overwhelming. The courses were as expected the way that they were outlined on the Humber site is exactly what was learned in the program, something I loved was that the professors were from the same program and were graduates from Humber they were able to tell stories and share their experiences from different perspectives. What I liked the most was how willing and understanding the professors were they understood that even though we were students we had lives outside of school and it was always easy to talk to them. What I didn’t like was that there wasn’t really a say on the location of placements I remember my first placement was 3 hours away from where I live so it was always hard to travel back and forth and I didn’t have an option to switch to somewhere else. The school can improve the food on campus it was very easy to get tired of seeing the same things every day there wasn’t much variety and everything was super expensive. The campus was also pretty big it was very easy to get lost at first and they didn’t give out maps. If I could recommend the school and campus to others I would 100% love the student life and the campus was beautiful. What I also didn’t like was that everyone made it seem like it was easy and guaranteed that a job would be easy to find once the program ends which wasn’t the case at all finding a job in the field is something that I’m still struggling with till now.
