McMaster University is ranked as one of the top universities worldwide. I would say the courses they offer are interesting and very informative. Unfortunately, I did not get to experience McMaster as much in person. I only physically attended University for 1 semester and a half. I would say my experience would have been better if I were to physically have attended classes. I was not able to connect or network with people from my program due to Covid-19 restrictions. I was not able to find meaningful opportunities for my field of studies.
View moreThe Political Science programs at McMaster University are diverse and full of amazing opportunities. While this review discusses the Honors program, the department also offers others such as combined honours and specializations. The students are very nice, however considering it is an English/essay-based program, it is a little bit competitive depending on your class. Similar to the professors, some are quite accommodating and modern while others are quite strict and old-fashioned. Nonetheless, the program has an extensive list of super interesting classes to choose from to help expand your knowledge. Additionally, the program offers student exchange and the ability to study abroad in your 3rd or 4th year is amazing! If you are looking for a great program for political science, then the one(s) at McMaster University are great.
View moreThe Political Science Program at McMaster University is competitive but motivational. With numerous streams and classes to choose from, students have the opportunity to learn about law within Canada and politics around the world. The professors are extremely diverse and offer a wide variety of classes to suit your interests. One thing that the program does not have a lot of but is currently working on co-op programs for students.
The student life at McMaster is a very tight knit community. While the university and campus are smaller than other Canadian universities, it is a great size and has a beautiful campus. The campus has numerous places to study, such as three large libraries, a new living and learning centre, three main food places with other to-go options located on campus, and more.
