Dalhousie has managed to exceed my already high expectations by creating a positive and nurturing learning environment. The emphasis on holistic growth and personal development is evident in every aspect of the university’s functioning. The vibrant campus life and numerous extracurricular activities contribute to a well-rounded experience, encouraging students to explore their passions beyond academics.

Dalhousie as a University does not rank at the top for academics. However, it should rank higher due to its sense of community and school spirit. Since coming to Dalhousie in the fall I have found that every student that attends the university loves it. There seems to be a big sense of community here with less competition than in other schools nearby. The professors share the same fondness for the school and embrace it in all of their lectures and tutorials. Overall, I would recommend Dalhousie not just for its academics, but for its community and all-around school balance.

I study mechanical engineering. The highlight of this program for me is the demand for creativity and out of the box thinking. The program has a high workload and I enjoy this because of my innate desire to work. The professors show that they are passionate about what they teach and this in turn inspires me to learn and makes the course interesting
