The Computer Programming course has a very out of date curriculum. Co-op support is non existent 1/4 of our co-ops on the job board are from Quebec or Ottawa. Numerous professors do not care at all and it shows when they “teach” . I will never recommend this college to anyone as I feel like they scammed me. Maybe other programs are good but CMPG and CMPA are scams.
View moreThe program is poorly structured and has a very dated cirriculum. The tech stacks taught are not the most prevalent in the industry. Professors range from very rude to very unprepared. Do yourself a favour and go to a different college. I have no idea how there are two good reviews for this college and this program when every single person in my graduating class has the same disdain for this course. I never thought I would experience this level of incompetence in post secondary education. Imagine having to constantly check your professors work to ensure it is accurate… that is what Computer Programming at Georgian is like. Avoid this college for this program just don’t do it.
Also there is no Computer Science degree offered here it’s a college it’s all diplomas and the partnership with lakehead is gone so I have no idea what these other reviews are even going on about. You can’t even select the courses available at the college when making a review.
View moreStudying at Georgian College is a fantastic chance for me to really dig into tough subjects and sharpen my mind. It’s been a big help for my personal growth and for doing better in my studies. The college gives us lots of ways to explore different subjects, which is great.
If you’re looking for a place that’s efficient and high-quality, this is definitely it. I’ve used a lot of the services here, and so far, everything has been really positive. The whole vibe here is perfect for studying; I’m learning valuable stuff and also picking up important “soft skills,” like working well with others. All of this really helps us students in a big way!
As a student, I got to study in a vibrant, well-kept campus that really sparked inspiration. The thoughtfully designed spaces not only looked great but also created an ideal setting for learning. The inviting atmosphere truly enhanced my overall educational experience, making it so much more enjoyable.
View moreThe place is near my home, so I don’t need to travel much. It’s easy to get to the university, and they have sports during lunch breaks to help students relax, which most people like. The teachers are nice and supportive. My only issue is the classrooms feel small, like high school ones, and they could be bigger.
