MacEwan University offers a welcoming environment with a strong focus on student success. The professors are approachable, passionate, and ensure a balance between theory and practical learning. I appreciated the smaller class sizes, which made it easier to engage and ask questions during lectures. The campus facilities, especially the library and study spaces, are modern and well-equipped for student needs.
Student life is vibrant, with plenty of clubs and activities to join. However, tuition can feel a bit high compared to other Canadian universities, which is something to consider. The support services, like academic advisors and mental health resources, are excellent and truly help students succeed.
I’m currently studying to become a nurse and MacEwan university has a great nursing program one of the top ones in Edmonton because it’s very hands-on.
The professors are very friendly, relatable and open with students. Of course, there are some that also aren’t the nicest and can be rude as well. So far I like the school it’s located in downtown Edmonton and the campus is up to date and easy to get around. However limited on what kind of restaurants it has on campus, because of its locations there are tons of other places to go to within walking distance.
The school could improve on class options. I find they don’t have a good selection of interesting classes to take as electives, especially in the history and language areas. The school is diverse there are tons of international students and the professors come from all backgrounds as well. I really look forward to finishing my education at MacEwan University.
