In my experience, conestoga college does little to support its students and audit their supposed qualified professors. Many times me and my peers reached out to the dean and other officals about the unprofessionalism and lack of knowledge about the course content from many professors. We were given little support and little was done to rectify these serious situations. Due to this I found the courses of the program unhelpful in preparing me for the workforce. In addition to this, students are expected to take 6-7 courses each semester which is unrealistic and makes it difficult to do well and understand all course content. Many of the electives available are completely irrelevant and yet take much needed time that could be spent on the core courses related to our selected programs.
View moreI am doing the Cloud Data Management program at Conestoga College and overall it was a good experience, especially for students who want practical, hands-on learning. The program focuses heavily on real-world tools like SQL, database administration, cloud platforms, and data engineering concepts. I appreciated that many courses were lab-based, which helped me build technical confidence rather than just theoretical knowledge.
Some professors were very knowledgeable and had industry experience, which made the classes more practical and relevant to the job market. The assignments were often aligned with real-world scenarios, which I found valuable.
However, the program is quite fast-paced and sometimes feels compressed. There is a lot of content to cover in a short time, so students need to be prepared to do significant self-study. Not all courses are equally structured, and the quality can vary depending on the instructor.
Overall, I would recommend this program to students who are self-motivated, technically curious, and ready to put in extra effort outside of class. It provides a strong technical foundation, but your success depends largely on how much additional practice and learning you are willing to do on your own.
View moreI enjoy the classes teachers are nice. campus is small but that can work for some people who prefer the 1 on 1based learning. Teachers are typically very responsive but again it can vary teacher to teacher. Overall enjoyable although personally I wish there was more “lecture hall” and “big class” learning!
View moreI would give my diploma in Broadcasting – Television and Independent Production a high rating. It was an incredible experience, enriched by meeting amazing faculty members and networking with fellow students. The instructors were industry professionals actively working in the field, providing us with valuable insights into both the theoretical and practical aspects of the industry. Their real-world experience helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional practice, preparing us for the challenges of the media landscape.
View moreThe Professors teaching Project Management at Conestoga College are well informed and with most of them having prior experience in industries, theories were well explained with real life examples. That has made me learn effectively with their real life examples, feedback that they gave and the counseling they offered me on career path.
