I finished my Ph.D. at the UofC. Despite being a smaller university, the quality of education was of a very high level. We had world-class leaders in my field coming in to give seminars and lectures. Lots of opportunities to collaborate with other groups and build your experience. Because the department is smaller – there was a lot of personalized guidance. They push you to achieve while giving you the opportunity to take time and breathe. They also make sure you stay well connected for future job opportunities.
