The Computer Science program at the University of Calgary feels very average. The department is oversaturated with students, which makes classes crowded and reduces the quality of interaction with instructors. Many professors seem outdated in their teaching methods, and some are frankly not very good at communicating concepts effectively.

While the program does cover the basics and you can still graduate with a solid technical foundation, expect yourself to do the majority of the heavy lifting through self-studying. Overall, I’d say UCalgary CS is fine if you just want the degree, but if you’re looking for innovative teaching, you’ll likely be disappointed.

University of Calagry has very good facilities, the modern design creates and great place for all the students to study, communicate, and partake in activities. The dorms are also well put together and the community is good.

I REALLY like the gym of the university, it is called active living and it is really huge, opens at 6 in the morning and it’s packed with people already. And we have a lot different machines to choose from. The best thing in the university

University of Calgary helps students to identify their hidden potentials, develop their skills that make them stand out in the crowd. Overall, there is nothing as such that I dislike about university.

One of the core reason behind University of Calgary was it’s cultural diversification. It is a place which has people from numerous cultures. Moreover, I took business technology management as my major. This is a major , which was quite appealing to me as a mixture of technology and business which has always been my passion. Additionally, the school also provides co-op opportunity, which will allow me to graduate with real-life work experience. In a nutshell, all the factors of UCalgary were suitable for me which brought me here.

I find University of Calgary to be a great university in various aspects. Personally, there is so many opportunities provided to be able to do more as well as put oneself out there. A little challenge with the school has been how difficult it could be to get access to some resources that are listed as available.

The University of Calgary is a pretty good place to study. They have an excellent research program for most faculties and offer tons of studentships. Many computer science professors are also really good. However, more classes should be provided that teach recent computer science applications like Machine Learning.
