I definitely recommend college/university for further studies, specially Chiu school of business, As a International student college is full of experiences including but not limited to international club events, intercultural centre, peer mentorship program, unique business idea competition etc since I got an opportunity to travel to different countries including Japan
View moreBow valley college is a school with lot of qualities and the most important one is the diversity. Bvc is a place where every culture is welcome. Also they have lot of ways to support their students. Also the programs are really valuable.
View moreI would rate Bow Valley College a 9/10. Compared to my prior undergrad Bow Valley was a real breath of fresh air. It was easy to see how concepts from the previous courses were built upon in following seasons. Most of of my instructors were incredibly personable, gave meaningful feedback, and were receptive to concerns such as deadlines needing to be pushed back. I had more difficulty connecting with my teachers who taught purely online classes. With no real time meeting time it also made group projects feel quite disconnected. TI also felt that for the most part across courses I wouldn’t have to worry about deadlines overlapping, my instructors just felt organized. There were also many instances they seemed eager to help with portfolio work and general professional development outside of class which was greatly appreciated.
View moreI think Bow Valley College is a fair place to study, however, I have a few reservations. I take practical nursing and during the first year, I had to take 6 courses in the first semester and 5 in the 2nd semester. I have no delusions about nursing being easy, but the amount of assignments constantly given to us has made it almost impossible to study for the many exams. The professors are kind but I think a lot of mine are better healthcare professionals than teachers. You can tell they know what they are talking about but aren’t the best at passing on that information to students. That has just been my experience. I wouldn’t tell anyone not to go there. It is a good college but you may need to teach a lot of the material to yourself depending on your teacher.
View moreInstructors are clear, concise and are just generally amazing in how they carry everyone along. They also deal very well with the fact that most classes are full of international students with diverse personalities. The environment is also incredibly engaging and conducive for learning.
