I find my university to be one of the best ones in the entire country. It provides many courses which are only to be found here and nowhere else. What I found especially interesting was the fact that this is the only university which partners with a foreign university, specifically a German one. I am studying in the so called German faculty and it is honestly so good. It is being monitored by the partners, therefore it feels as if you really are studying in Germany and I love that!
View moreI studied at TU Sofia between 1993-1997. It was an exciting and educating experience. I took a bachelor’s degree in medical electronics. The base wasn’t really well kept and there weren’t many study materials. My favourite subject was microelectronics. My proffesors lived up to my expectations.
View moreI really like that we have an opportunity to study 1 Semester abroad – in a university in German and to receive at the end a german bachelor’s degree. It was also good that we study in German or English all subjects.
View moreI graduated Technical University of Sofia, long time ago. As a professional in a big IT company, I can appreciate the value of the skills I learned in the university.
The good side of my student life is that after 2nd year the subjects become really interesting and the professors who teach those subjects have a vast experience in the academia field and also in the business, practical field.
The side that needs to be improved is, investing in quality laboratories and student dormitories.
The accommodation for students was not very good, compare to a lot of other western university. Also very few professors in the 1st and 2nd year could attract the students to the value of their subjects. I would recommend having more group assignments and attending a presentation skills training. This would really increase the quality of the subjects and the involvement of the students.
The one thing that really attracted me to apply for the Technical University of Sofia was the Ericsson base station. Sadly, we used it only once.
Overall, I found amazing people during my study. I could go to different academic courses outside of my country because the university has a strong student group, part of BEST network. I am glad that I had studied there and I am alumni of that university.
