Studying at Plovdiv Medical University (PMU) has been a rich experience filled with both ups and downs. The University offers courses only in Medical sciences including Human Medicine, Dental Medicine and Pharmacology. This, combined with a large cohort of international students mixed with local students allows for a tight knit community of larger than life personalities from across the globe. Gaining invaluable knowledge and experiences from Professors/academic staff and colleagues is what makes studying at PMU a truly unique experience, unlike any other.
The campus is consistently being updated with new facilities always popping up, and is integrated with several local hospitals for practical experience.
The only thing missing is the lack of integration with other Universities and student organisations, leaving it to be a bit of an isolated student experience.
The university offers excellent clinical practice and hands-on exposure starting from the 3rd year, which has been invaluable for building practical skills in medicine. The opportunity to engage directly in clinical settings has greatly enhanced my understanding of various subjects and prepared me for real-world medical practice.
