Student review [#104646] for School of Engineering/Technology
at Universidade Federal de Uberlândia

UFU has a relatively large campus, which creates many possibilities. However, I perceive a lack of cohesion within the university itself, causing processes to often be slow and bureaucratic. That said, I believe it is a great place for learning. Unfortunately, not every professor across all programs is excellent, but there are indeed those who are truly willing to help and teach—which, to me, is the ultimate definition of a university’s role. Furthermore, I believe the campus infrastructure is very good and the social environment is pleasant; however, regarding the university cafeteria—which is outsourced—it sometimes leaves something to be desired. Yet, considering the price point, I understand the reality faced by many students and the massive costs involved in the entire operation.

A UFU apresenta um campo relativamente grande, o que gera muitas possibilidades. Entretanto, vejo uma falta de coesão entre a universidade em si, e isso faz com que os processos tendam a ser demorados e burocráticos. Tendo dito isso, acredito ser um ótimo espaço para aprendizagem. Infelizmente, nem todos os professores de todos os cursos são ótimos, mas existem aqueles professores que estão, sim, dispostos a ajudar e ensinar, o que, para mim, é o sinônimo maior da função de uma instituição universitária. Além disso, acredito que a infraestrutura da faculdade é muito boa e os ambientes são de aceitável convívio, porém gosto de falar sobre o restaurante universitário, que, por ser uma proposta terceirizada da universidade, às vezes deixa a desejar, mas, pelo valor, entendo a realidade de muitos e dos gastos enormes envolvendo toda essa relação.
