My time at UNESP has been incredibly enriching both academically and professionally. One of the highlights was the opportunity to study instrumental music with the incredible composer Lunsqui, as well as interact with actively engaged researchers, which greatly enhanced my understanding of music and research methodologies.
The university provides a supportive environment for students, offering access to cutting-edge resources and encouraging participation in extension projects and research groups. The community is collaborative, and professors are approachable and knowledgeable, fostering both personal and academic growth.
Although UNESP has one of the best studios in Latin America, Panorama, the research is somewhat outdated and many compositions still reflect the previous century, going against the contemporary trends in electroacoustic music.
Overall, UNESP has been a transformative experience that has prepared me well for my future career in music and research. I recommend it to anyone seeking a comprehensive and engaging educational experience, keeping in mind the limitations in the electroacoustic program.
