Estácio (reviews)

I study at a private university in Brazil, Estácio, I study veterinary medicine. I have two campuses, a farm, a veterinary teaching hospital and etc. The campus where I am currently studying is just one building, it has 11 floors, we have laboratories, a library, a canteen, an auditorium, study rooms and a computer lab. The farm and hospital are located on the other campus. Next semester is when I will start going to this campus. My teachers are references in their respective subjects. I really have good teachers and a great teaching environment. What I don’t like is the administration, if there’s a problem with my monthly fee or with a test, sometimes I can’t find a solution. Even with a terrible administration, I recommend this university because even with problems, it still a good university, I have good resources easily accessible.

Teaching has everything to be wonderful, but contact with teachers leaves something to be desired. It’s complicated, because any doubt we have we have to wait forty-eight hours and we don’t even remember when it’s answered.

I studied there from the middle of 2017 to the end of 2019, I graduated in Gastronomy and had great experiences with the professors but the institution left something to be desired, many materials were damaged and without replacement, very shallow subjects on some important subjects in the gastronomic field. But overall I was very happy with my degree and my knowledge. Then in 2020 I did a postgraduate degree in vegetarian and vegan gastronomy at Estácio too, but I didn’t learn as much as I expected and all the classes were online, and that made it very difficult to study gastronomy.

The course itself is not bad, but the institution leaves a lot to be desired. The interest of private colleges is only financial, as the student is harmed all the time. Money first, education and student care later.

The professors and classes are good, but the university’s coordination does not provide effective ways to solve problems that arise during the course, leaving students helpless in this aspect.

My university offers me many opportunities for professional and student development. I believe that both teachers and students are capable and performing their roles in pedagogical and learning ways in an accurate way.

There is a good structure and teachers. My campus is NorteShopping and my course is Electrical Engineer, so I will give my opinion about it. My teachers are very good and their classes are challenging.
