Overall, my time at UC Leuven Limburg has been truly transformative. The combination of rigorous academics, vibrant student life, and stunning surroundings has made this an ideal place for me to grow, learn, and thrive. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a world-class university experience.

One thing I really appreciate about UCLL is the emphasis on interdisciplinary learning. We’re encouraged to take courses outside of our core program and explore different fields. This has helped me develop a more well-rounded skill set.
The student life at UCLL is also vibrant. There are tons of student organizations, sports teams, and social events to get involved in. I’ve made many great friends and connections through these extracurricular activities.

As a current student at UCLL, I’ve had a very positive experience overall. UCLL is one of the top universities of applied sciences in Belgium, and it’s easy to see why. The facilities on campus are excellent – the classrooms, labs, and study spaces are all modern and well-equipped. The libraries have a great selection of both physical and digital resources to support our studies. And the campus itself is quite beautiful, with green spaces and areas for students to relax between classes.

One of the most noteworthy features of UCLL is its commitment to academic excellence. The faculty members are not only experts in their respective fields but also passionate educators who go above and beyond to ensure that students receive a top-notch education. The small class sizes create an intimate learning environment where students can actively engage with the material, fostering meaningful discussions and enhancing the overall learning experience. The campus itself is a vibrant and inclusive community that promotes diversity and collaboration. From state-of-the-art facilities to well-equipped libraries and research centers, UCLL provides the resources necessary for students to excel in their studies. The professors here are truly exceptional – they’re not only leading experts in their respective fields, but also incredibly skilled and passionate teachers. The curriculum is challenging yet rewarding, with a perfect balance of theoretical concepts and practical applications. I feel like I’m constantly being pushed to expand my knowledge and think more critically

The program I’m enrolled in has provided a nice balance of theoretical knowledge and very applicable, hands-on training that will prepare me well for my future career. The professors are knowledgeable and have professional experience in their respective fields. The small class sizes allow for more personal attention and interaction.

Life on campus definitely doesn’t feel like a typical university experience either. As a smaller institution, it’s easy to get around the compact campuses by foot or bike. Student housing options are plentiful and affordably priced if you do choose to live on or near campus. A busy program of clubs, sports, and cultural events also helps foster a real sense of community among the student population.

I think that overall, the university is great; both the lecturers and the study material we were given are nice. Even so, it wasn’t without exceptions; there was one course which was confusing and the topics were not built upon each other at all. This was also due to the fact that one of the lecturers was inadequate; however, the university was prompt to fire him. Other than that, it is apparent that the courses are kept up-to-date, which is going to be a big help to get a first job.

Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science;

There are some really great teachers and study materials. However, the opposite is also true.

One of the classes, Computer Systems, was poorly taught by a teacher and this issue was not resolved until more than half the semester was through.

Another class, Front-end development, was also poorly taught, resulted in many students failing the class.

However, some of the material is still very good. Two other classes in the same semester had very good and challenging study material, and there are events in the semester like the project week to make this experience engaging.

I personally think that with a lot of effort, it is possible to enjoy and make a lot out of this course. There’s bound to be good and bad classes after all. I have yet to go through two more years, and as someone who doesn’t live in the same city, I cannot comment on the campus life and experience too much.
