The university is the oldest one and is a destination for internationals. At this university you can meet students coming from the globe with diverse culture and background. I like the content of the courses offered at this university. All policy related courses were practical and the professors were well experienced on the subject matter. I would recommend this university to others to join.

When it comes to studying abroad, most of us would consider three aspects: academic, cultural and financial. At KU Leuven, these three aspects are combines perfectly!

The city of Leuven is in a heart of Belgium, and during the weekend you can easily travel to neighbour countries (your dream destinations like Paris, Amsterdam or London are less than 3 hours away!). The university is very well structured, the location of campus and other facilities is easily accessible by public transport, yet riding a bike the most popular mean of transport.

Student portal Toledo, for me, is a very useful platform to keep track on your study progress and interact with teachers. The workload is overall balanced, you have enough time to study and prepare for the exams afterwards, so just make sure you come to the Learning Centre called Agora early: it gets busy during the exam period! And of course, printing, scanning and copying is extremely easy and affordable (just 0.05 EUR per page), and does not even require a USB drive!

As an international student here, I felt a great support from the international office and staff, should you have any question, student volunteers and office members are there to help!

MOST IMPORTANT: KU Leuven credentials allow you to access a HUGE number of academic sources such as Web of Science, so using quality academic literature should not be an obstacle!

Teachers are professionals in their field, however, you should keep in mind the cultural and academic difference with your home country, so adjusting to the Flemish university style mind take time.

Trust me, you won’t get bored in Leuven. Every week there are events organised by the uni, and make sure you spare time for attending them. Not only that, but more than 30 kinds of sports are available for students for less than 30 EUR per semester. I ensure you, you won’t regret about your choice here.

Overall, if you strive to have a quality education in Europe, memorable moments in the international environment and fall in love with Flemish culture – KU Leuven is a right place for you.
