Coming to Belgium, I first pursued a Master’s in Social and Cultural Anthropology at KU Leuven, which was a great academic experience. I later joined the Master’s in Information Management due to a shift in my career goals, and one thing that really stood out to me was the number of career fairs. These events are super helpful; students get to meet people from real companies and organizations, learn about job opportunities, and even share their resumes. Indeed, it is a great and impactful way to start building your career while still studying.
View moreKU Leuven stands out as a top-tier university with a solid international reputation and a wide range academic programs. The curriculum which is very impressive, exposes students to a broad bank of knowledge. But sometimes, this strength can also be a drawback: the sheer volume of material often feels overwhelming, especially during examination preparation. While the university excels in offering breadth, the depth of teaching does not always match, so students often have to figure out hard topics by themselves. If the teachings went deeper and more focused, learning at KUL would be even better.
View moreKU Leuven is a top research institution in Europe. It is respected and known widely for its academic excellence in science, engineering, and the humanities. I like that most of the master’s programs are taught in English. Also, the school is located in a historic and vibrant student city of Leuven, which makes learning even more interesting and ambitious.
