My overall opinion of MODUL University Vienna is very positive, based on my experience completing my Bachelor’s degree and currently pursuing my Master’s degree there. One of the university’s strongest advantages is its small class sizes, which foster an interactive learning environment and enable meaningful one-on-one interactions with professors. This allowed me to receive personalized feedback, engage in in-depth discussions, and tailor my learning to my academic interests.
Another aspect I highly valued was the flexibility of the program structure. MODUL offers flexibility in course selection, project focus, and learning pace, making it easier to balance academic demands with research interests, internships, or other professional commitments. This flexibility, combined with close faculty support, was particularly beneficial in advanced and technically demanding courses.
The international and collaborative atmosphere further enriched my experience by exposing me to diverse perspectives and strengthening my teamwork and communication skills. While the university is relatively small and specialized, this focus contributes to a more individualized and student-centered education.
Overall, I would strongly recommend MODUL University Vienna to students who value small classroom settings, flexible study structures, and direct access to faculty. My decision to continue at MODUL for my Master’s degree reflects the consistently positive academic experience I have had at the university.

View moreMy experience in Modul’s PhD program has been both rewarding and challenging. What stood out most to me is the close mentorship from professors and the international, supportive atmosphere—you’re not just another student, but part of a small research community. The campus location is inspiring, and the program encourages interdisciplinary work and applied research, which I found motivating.
On the other hand, being a small private university, funding opportunities are limited and sometimes administrative processes can feel slow or bureaucratic. Future students should be prepared for that side of things.
Overall, if you’re looking for a personalized PhD journey in a multicultural setting, Modul offers a unique environment with strong academic guidance.
