I am a first year student at AUA and I can say that since September I got much knowledge from the professors and other students who are studying in the higher courses. The professors are really kind, and when you ask them something they never refuse to answer to your question. The same I can say about the staff of other departments.

The classes where practical and very interesting. Also the lecturers where educated and dedicated to the work they do.
The thing I would like to see: more subjects, more lecturers.
Although AUA is one of the leading universities in Armenia, it still leaves a lot to be desired. The atmosphere truly is great – as opposed to many other Armenian universities, there’s really an inquisitive and learning spirit here. However, the variety of the courses offered is extremely limited, and some of the professors lack in knowledge, and are dull and uninspiring.
Overall, I would recommend this university to Armenian students and those wishing to get a cheaper education at an internationally-accredited institution.
Advantages:
1. great library with neccessary facilities available
2. good communication system between the whole community
3. Presence of good proffessors and course programs
4. Existence of practical knowlege and cooperation with exteral entites in the scope of the educational program
5. Opportunity to get scholarships
6. Good knoledge base and rating compared to alternatives
7. Good facilities for educational process
8. ACDO office etc…
Disadvantages:
1.Presence of mandatory courses which give nothing to students, just waste their time
2.Absence of desire and efforts to engage great professionals from all over the world and creation of interesting and valuable courses instead of the ones described in point1 as it used to be some years ago
3. Extremely high tuition fees
4. Engagement of such a great number of bachelor students for which they do not have enough facilities and resources, which is spoiling experience for both bachelor and master’s students
5. Wasting students time on useless staff, because of which it is extremely hard to work during the education years
6. Sessions are too long which is not effective etc.
American University of Armenia (AUA) is one of the leading universities in Armenia, if not to say the best. I’ve done my MBA here and I’m very pleased with all the knowledge and experience I gained there. All the courses were greatly designed, had both theoretical and practical parts. We have done lots of projects with international and local companies – real work with real experience. All of our professors were trained abroad and we had foreign professors, as well.
The university offers 2 types of programs for MBA: full-time MBA for 4 semesters (the classes start from morning till afternoon) and professional MBA for 5 semesters (classes start in the evening, designed for people who work during the day).
The campus consists of 2 buildings newly renovated and very comfortable for students. We had large and bright classrooms and auditoriums, a huge library, computer rooms, cafeteria, gym, garden and places for rest.
AUA offers financial aid for students, like tuition assistance and scholarships. Also one can work within AUA during the studies to cover the tuition fee.
AUA has lots of extensions, summer courses, activity groups, etc.
It was a great experience to be an AUA student.
AUA is one of the best universities in Armenia providing knowledge and diploma that is valid in many countries. It hosts people from different countries, educational backgrounds and moral values under one roof, thus appreciating tolerance and team work
