I was an international student in the MIB (Masters of Science in International Business) track. Generally, I am satisfied with the curriculum. The atmosphere was very warm and friendly. There is a complete initiation program for new students, where you get all the information you need for the duration of your stay in France. There is an International Club, totally student managed, that organizes many cool and fun activities throughout the year. The administration is very helpful. There’s a very international vibe in the school. 84% of IÉSEG’s permanent professors are international, while about 50% of the student body are foreign, with about 90 different nationalities represented. In the MIB and IMBA tracks, almost the entire batch is international. Students are allowed to choose their subjects, with a huge number of electives available. There is also an opportunity to improve language skills (English, French, Spanish, German etc.). There are numerous corporate talks that happen throughout the academic year. A job fair is also organized in the campus every semester, in which about 150 companies participate. One downside is that most of those companies expect fluency in written and spoken French, leaving many international students with few choices. Having said that, there is a career support office which regularly organizes coaching sessions. They help students perfect their pitch, CV, motivation letter etc. and also provide valuable inputs about career opportunities in France as well as abroad. They keep on assisting you even after you graduate. I believe there should be an increase in manpower in the career services office so that every student might have a dedicated career coach with whom he/she can consult at any time. In light of all these factors, I can reiterate that I am satisfied with my experience in IESEG, and I recommend it to future students looking for management education in France.
