University of Crete downfalls
A major drawback that runs through both the Universities is that the students feel the need for more emphasis on practical research and experience. Even though the most of the students have given a 5 star to the University of Crete! A lot of students have commented on the amazing research they were able to do in this University. Hence, there are not many downfalls to cover here.
University of Patras downfalls
Though the University of Patras was applauded by most of the students, one major theme that runs through the comments is that not all the departments of the University receive a world-class education. Mostly, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Geology and such other subjects are given more weight while other courses are neglected.
Other students also state that the knowledge is purely theoretical and less practical. Even though the labs are very well-equipped the students are not allowed to use it. Which is a major drawback. Some students have said that the equipment is outdated as well, as the University focusses more on theoretical knowledge.
If we compare both universities, University of Crete has received many good recommendations from the students in terms of research, world-class facilities, trained professors and high-quality free education. If you are a student at any of these Universities, please do keep adding your comments on EDUopinions; it might help people when choosing Universities!
