Long, long lessons!

RSB is an amazing University – it’s really multicultural and really pretty. However, the lessons are 3 hours long, with a 10-minute break in between, meaning that you have extremely long days! usually from around 8am – 6:30! However, the education quality is amazing and definitely really interesting – I loved all my lecturers and their English was all extremely high quality!

The actual University is beautiful – palm trees in building 1 and then just really nice open spaces for building 2 and 3. It’s an amazing university experience!

2. An International Environment

International Students at Rennes Business School

At Rennes School of Business, students not only learn alongside students from around the world (there are 100 nationalities represented on the campus) but also from a diverse faculty, where close to 90% of faculty members hail from outside France.

To help students flourish in an international environment after graduation, all students at Rennes School of Business participate in language classes outside of their English-taught business programmes. The Way Up! initiative aims to foster a truly multicultural environment at the school, where students learn from other cultures and develop their language and management skills.

For international students, second language classes are focused on learning French and following French culture modules. French students, meanwhile, can choose another second language to bolster their job prospects.

MSc review

I’ve enjoyed a lot my time in RSB so far. The school is indeed very international, you get to meet people from all over the world and learn a lot about different cultures as well as cultural exchange. My program (MSc in Creative Project Management, Culture and Design) has been very enriching and well rounded. I’m happy with my experience up until now and excited for what’s to come.

3. Hands-On Classes

Active learning is favoured at Rennes School of Business. Consequently, students learn in multiple different ways throughout their degree, for example, with case studies, simulations, and group work. With class sizes kept deliberately small, students can develop practical skills in teamwork and interact with professors.

To immerse themselves even further in practical training as they study business abroad, students at Rennes School of Business can also participate in a work-study degree. Due to visa rules, this option is generally only open for students from the European Union, although in some cases, non-EU citizens can apply.

On a work-study degree, you’ll spend some time working at a particular company and your remaining time taking classes at the business school. For a Master’s student, a typical work-study format might look like three weeks at a company and one week on campus; for a Bachelor’s student, it’s more likely to be three days a week at a company and two days at school.

Regardless of whether you do a work-study programme or not, students report that Rennes School of Business gives you lots of opportunities to apply your skills, whether through “stimulating” lessons or career workshops.

MIM - Grande Ecole Review

I am pursuing Masters in Management, a Grande Ecole programme at Rennes School of Business since September 2021. So far the experience has been great. In my first semester, I got to interact with people from different cultures and ethnicities. We had a lot of exchange students coming in from various places. It was an amazing experience.

The faculty we have onboard is great as well. All the courses were well taught, and the teachers are very encouraging and interactive, making the learning process smooth and effective.

The school holds a lot of fun and exciting extracurricular events for students.

I’m looking forward to my upcoming semesters, so far the experience has been one of a kind for me.

Great school with great opportunities

Ever since I got into Rennes SB I’ve felt like I have a handful of tools to develop my professional careers besides just my classes. The school really cares about your development and placement in the workforce and has special teams that help you to do so.

Additionally, the professors I’ve had are just great. They are experts in their fields that really challenge
you and push you to learn.

Another thing I love is the multiculturalism there is in my classmates, as most of them come from different countries and backgrounds so it’s really interesting to know them.
