European Universities
Each university has its own deadline. After that, students might not be able to send applications. If you are thinking of studying in countries like Austria, Italy, Portugal, Germany or Poland you might still be able to apply. The opportunity to apply is there but you might not get in simply because some courses are generally full as soon as enrollment starts. In addition, some universities have an early deadline for foreign students. Usually, deadlines in Denmark, Norway, Netherlands, Ireland, and Hungary are set in the spring each year. However, you can still get in contact with each university. There might still be spots that need to be filled in.
British Universities
The situation in the United Kingdom might be slightly different. Students that would like to study in Great Britain normally apply through UCAS. The first deadline was on the 26th of January. For everybody who did not apply for university before that day, the summer deadline is on the 30th of June. Nevertheless, you can also try reaching out directly to the universities that will consider your unique case.
American universities
If you had the desire to study in the United States of America, I have bad news for you. Official deadlines have passed. However, some universities have what they call hard deadlines, which means that they accept late applications. My advice is to reach out to smaller institutes to see if they still have open spots. For example, the University of Northern Colorado has a hard deadline set for the 1st of August and the Randolph College in Virginia accepts applications up to the 15th of August.

Do not panic. Breathe in, breathe out. Some universities offer courses twice a year. If you miss the deadline for autumn, you can apply for a January start. You will have to wait for one semester but that does not mean that you lost time. In fact, you can invest it in getting ready for your course, submitting the right document with plenty of time, and perhaps have another shot at applying for your first choice university! In addition, the application process of a university might still be open but their dorms might already be full. That means that you would have to worry about finding private accommodation as well as submitting all the documents in a rush. Not succeeding in starting this autumn might not be the end of the world after all.

We can say that the answer is yes, at least for some countries and universities worldwide. What we learned is that some institutes encourage prospective students to send their applications even after the deadline. That is due to the fact that some classes might still have spots available and colleges would rather fill them up rather than leaving them empty. In conclusion, do not get discouraged by a deadline and always check availability with your college of choice. I ensure you that universities always prefer to fill their classes up because, among all reasons, it means more revenue for them.
