If you’re also looking a university whose ambience compliments your student life experience, then Sussex and it’s community is definitely one to check out. I studied BA Communications & Media studies and I like they had some guest lecturers come lecture for a day on specific topics, had various events that supported our career prospects e.g. having alumnus and individuals in the industry come speak to us about their experience. Secondly, I liked the fact that as students, our voices/academic issues were heard via our student ambassadors (and they took active measures to resolve them when/if they could). In addition, I also liked the fact the student accommodations (i.e. bathrooms and kitchens) on campus got cleaned once a week (saved the stress for some students). The university is quite international and diverse with various societies ranging from sports, religion, academics, fun etc. I wish they took the strikes more seriously (in terms of addressing students on their stance, supporting the staff who were part of the union). Also, encourage more international students to apply for positions in the SU, and publicize international events such as the International Food Party. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and experience at the university and would recommend it to prospective students.
If you’re thinking of studying law, let me tell you—IMSU is where it’s at. The law faculty isn’t just packed with brilliant lecturers, we’ve got Senior Advocates of Nigeria teaching us. Which other university has it's Vice Chancellor actively involved in lectures? You’re learning straight from the best. But here’s the real deal: why just sit in class and listen to lectures when you can live the law? At IMSU, we don’t just study—we experience. From court visits to internships, legal workshops, and real chamber exposure, you actually get to see how the legal system works. And it doesn’t stop there. We debate with students from other universities, take part in quizzes, attend conferences, and build real-world skills outside the classroom. There’s a strong sense of community too—with student societies, legal clinics, and events that bring everyone together. IMSU Law really prepares you for the real world. It’s everything you need to grow into a confident, well-rounded lawyer. Trust me, IMSU Law isn’t just about getting a degree—it prepares you with the confidence and experience to take the legal world by storm.
I like that opportunities the university gives me to further my studies in different countries as well as with internships offers. The course I am doing (Aviation Management) is very interesting and the lectures are very diverse, and all have different approaches to teaching which is great.
