Harassment, discrimination, assault.

Months before I was due to graduate, I faced harassment from two Physics and Astronomy department heads due to having a disability. I submitted a harassment complaint and instead of resolving the situation, the dean of the science faculty, the vice provost student experience and vice provost EDI retaliated and I had to deal with assault from an associate dean. The math courses, physics courses and computer science courses I took were universally poorly taught, and poorly administered. There is no support for students with disabilities and those who are othered are treated harshly and unfairly.

Fell in Love With Learning All Over Again

The University of Lethbridge is embedded into the coulees of the badlands where the city lies, making you feel a strong connection to the environment around you anywhere on campus. Lethbridge is home to the Blackfoot Nation and the University does a fantastic job at Indigenous acknowledgement and offers many Indigenous studies courses. I was lucky enough to be in a program that allowed me to minor in Indigenous studies and reap the opportunity to dig into my own Indigenous identity. I would say that was my favourite piece of the University of Lethbridge. There are many opportunities to meet other students, access student resources, and make connections with your professors and TA's.
