Disappointing Experience as an International Student

As an international student, my experience has been quite disappointing. One of the major issues is the poor quality of instruction from some international lecturers, particularly those who struggle to communicate fluently in English. This significantly impacts our understanding of lessons and overall academic performance.

Additionally, the dormitory facilities are far below standard with inadequate maintenance, lack of basic amenities, and an overall environment that does not support healthy living or effective study.

Perhaps most concerning is the consistent neglect of international student concerns. When we raise issues whether academic, housing, or welfare-related there’s often little to no follow-up or resolution. It feels like our presence is welcomed only in theory, not in practice.

I hope the institution takes these concerns seriously and implements meaningful improvements, especially if they want to maintain a reputation as a destination for international education.
