At first, I chose to study a major related to Leadership because I thought I would learn some team leadership skills, decision making, etc. But after studying it, I realized it is much deeper. At RMIT, studying Leadership is not simply about “being a boss”, but learning how to understand people, inspire, and solve problems humanely.
We learned a lot about organizational psychology, how to build corporate culture, change management, etc. The teachers taught with great care, often telling real-life stories from large companies, and always encouraged us to ask critical questions.
What impressed me the most was that all the subjects had group assignments, presentations, and proposals that were “simulated from a real company”. There were times when I was stressed because of the difficulty of teamwork, but thanks to that, I learned how to work with many different types of people – something that a leader really needs.
Honestly, studying this major has helped me grow a lot, not only in my work but also in my way of living and communicating. For those who are thinking of becoming a leader or starting a business in the future, the Leadership major at RMIT is a worthy investment!
