As an alumnus of the Global Business program at RMIT University, I can confidently say the degree gave me a strong foundation for working in international environments. The program covers a wide scope — from global trade and cross-cultural communication to international marketing and strategy — all essential for anyone aiming to work across borders.
What stood out most to me was the diverse classroom environment and frequent group projects that mimicked real-world business situations. I had the opportunity to collaborate with peers from different cultures, which improved my teamwork, adaptability, and global mindset — all of which I now use daily in my current job.
However, I do think the program could benefit from more industry integration. While the academic knowledge is solid, there were limited opportunities for internships or direct exposure to global companies during my time there.
Still, I would recommend Global Business at RMIT to students who are serious about pursuing international business careers. It’s a well-rounded program that opens up many pathways — especially if you take the initiative to seek external opportunities alongside your studies.
