The program is rather small compared to most other programs at this school, so it is much easier to get to know the professors and other students. There are quite a bit of resources to help the students out such as tutoring programs, and professor office hours are easily accessible as well. Getting research is not the easiest however, most people will have to cold email professors until they get a response, so the only way to not have to do that is to get to know the prof very well, and to stand out enough so that they will consider letting you into their lab.
