Queens is a great environment. The professors are really helpful and I would encourage all applicants to engage them as much as possible, you will benefit from it. Also don’t be afraid of the weather, though it does get really cold up here especially if you’re a non-New Yorker (or an international student) like myself and you are used to more tropical weather. I come from Puerto Rico, so this was a big change. I can tell you though that everyone finds their niche here eventually, it’s just about staying patient and embracing the college experience and being away from home.

However I took my chance with this school because of all the great things I heard, and because great education isn’t always signified by a high tuition. Their positive reputation proved to be absolutely true. It is seriously the most affordable high-quality education in New York City. All the professors are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do and many of your peers will be hard working students hustling in the city life. Because this college is in the city you also have access and connection to many different research and job opportunities. I truly enjoyed my experience at Queens College and I would recommend it to all.
